Do The Right Thing
One of my favorite movies of all time. Spike shows the constant struggle in America with black and white relations. This motif is in many of his films. This early piece of art speaks to both the brain and heart of the viewer. I highly recommend watching this film.
This is the 20th anniversary of Do The Right thing as the film and I share the same age.

Jean-Michel Basquiat. SAMO!
Jean-Michel Basquiat was African American artist, the first African American to become an international art star. He gained popularity first as a graffiti artist in NewYork City, and then as a successful 1980s-era Neo-Expressionist artist. Basquiat's paintings continue to influence modern-day artists and command high prices.

Free Your Mind
This video is the most powerful documentary I have ever seen. It’s broken into 3 parts. The first part is an examination of Jesus Christ as an astrological literary hybrid. That part is my favorite. The second part discusses 911 as an inside job. The third part talks about the monetary system as corrupt and destined for failure. Please View with an open mind. As always, never understand information as true without first examining it. Bounce it around in your head. See if it makes sense. Then draw your own conclusions.

Whos the best?
Whos the best? Biggie, Jayz, and Nas. This is the insignificant question we care so much about. We don’t need to put a title on the best rapper of all time. Biggie, Jayz and Nas all are different and talented rappers with different styles. They are all artists in their own right. Like Picasso, Rembrandt, Basquiat, all essential artists who crafted and released material that we all enjoy on different levels. As much as the parallel of basketball to hip hop is made; the analogy is harder to define. We could gauge how well someone scored, how effective they were in passing, playing, working with a team. We can’t do this with artists. Gauging how well one sells has a less correlation to how well much talent they have. Don`t burden yourself with the impossible or irrelevant.

This is save-the-world science. This is the energy holy grail
So scientists are creating an energy source comparable to how the sun creates energy. Technology like this is potentially our primary energy source after we use and abuse all fossil fuels.

Soul Sunday
My mom used to tell me listen closely when this song came on. She told me how much substance was in this song. How much soul was in this song. How powerful the song was. I understood this song as about betrayal and backstabbers, but I began to really learn what she was talking about. She didnt care about the backstabbers in this song but about how the song was delivered. This song is amazing. The string arrangements, the way the vocalist takes you on a ride. How crisp the drums and bass is.
She told me how hiphop artists screams could not capture the feeling like how these soul R&B songs could. I always told her, "hip hop artistists can!" "they just do it in their own way."
Every Sunday is Soul Sunday. This Sundays Soul joint is The Ojays-Backstabbers

Complex forms of Bacteria
Very interesting view of on life. I am trying very hard to refute this notion of our existence simplified to bacteria. I would like to think we are more complex and and significant than what grows on a sandwich.
This is a very intriguing way of thinking about our lives and I agree on many different analogies made in this clip.

More than a web log. This is an exposition into my thoughts, life, experiences, philosophy, photography, film and other interests. We are extremely complex creatures, you and I. I hope this blog further complicates the complexity of what it is to be.
